Silicones and other film formers: Dimethicone, Amodimethicone, Polyquaternium- and others. They create a film on the hair and skin, which is poorly washed off with water and creates an occlusive effect on the skin. This leads to dryness and a feeling of tightness on the skin.
Dangerous preservatives: Parabens, Methylisothiazolinone, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, BHT and others. Are allergens and skin irritants, and some are suspected carcinogens. Look for shampoos with natural preservatives: Sorbic acid, Benzoic acid, etc.
